Since 2011, we have worked in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council to deliver the Street Lighting Private Finance Initiative (PFI).
Having replaced most of the existing lighting infrastructure over the first five years of the contract, we are now in the maintenance phase of the project.
Cambridgeshire’s lighting design is driven by energy savings which has seen the installation of dimmed 36W plug-in fluorescent lamps with the Philips Residuum lanterns.
This sustainable approach to street lighting is coupled with solar powered bollards and a CMS control system which has seen us reduce energy demand by c.50%.
